AT THE HELM

We are proud to introduce Hannes Richter as the new president of Stoney-Miller Consultants, Inc., and Russ Lamb and Kevin Trigg as our Chief Engineer and Chief Geologist respectively. Their expertise in a variety of geotechnical disciplines and ability to bring cost effective solutions to the most difficult sites have helped shape our company over the last 20 years.

Mike Miller, co-founder of Stoney-Miller Consultants, Inc., will continue to be an active Principal for years to come.

WELCOME IAN GOLTZ

We are excited to welcome Ian Goltz, PG, CHg to the team. Mr. Goltz has over 25 years of comprehensive experience performing geologic and hydrogeological investigations. He has an advanced degree in hydrogeology, specifically in environmental modeling. Mr. Goltz joins Dr. John Foster, to lead our hydrogeologic, environmental and groundwater resources division. Together, Mr. Goltz and Dr. Foster have 60 years of experience in Southern California and throughout the United States.

2010 ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE AWARD

Stoney-Miller Consultants/Geofirm was awarded the 2010 Engineering Excellence Small Firm Merit Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) for its work on the Portola Hills Landslide Repair.

2009 OUTSTANDING PROJECT AWARD

Stoney-Miller Consultants/Geofirm was awarded the 2009 Outstanding Private Sector Civil Engineering Project Award from the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

2007-2008 OUTSTANDING PROJECT AWARD

Stoney-Miller Consultants/Geofirm was awarded the 2007-2008 Outstanding Project Award for Large Projects throughout California by CalGeo (formerly the California Geotechnical Engineers Association) for its work on the Bluebird Canyon Landslide in Laguna Beach.
